Ágústa Eva Erlendsdóttir is a singer and actress from Iceland. She’s starred in many films and TV shows such as Jar City (2006), Audur in Country Wedding (2007), Bjarnfreðarson (2009) and the TV show “See ya with Silvia Night“.
She was born in 28 July, 1982.
Magnús Scheving born “Magnús Örn Eyjólfsson Scheving” was born on the 10th of November, 1964. He’s a writer, author, producer, businessman, actor and athlete. He’s famous for starring, directing and creating the popular children’s television show called “LazyTown” and portraying the onscreen character, Sportacus.
Magnús Scheving is the CEO of LazyTown Enternmainment who are the producers of the LazyTown children show and has been aired all over the world since 2003 by Nickelodeon which is a co-partner.
Hafþór Júlíus Björnsson is currently the holder of The World’s Strongest Man title. He is Icelandic too. Asides being a strongman and powerlifter, he is also an and a former professional basketball player.
As an actor, he is famous for playing Gregor “The Mountain” Clegane in the popular HBO TV series, Game of Thrones. He is also famous for playing the onscreen character, Mongkut in the flim Kickboxer : Retaliation in 2020.
Ragnar Th. Sigurdsson is an Icelandic photographer whose specialty is in landscapes of Iceland, Greenland and the Artic in their natural most beautiful states.
He became famous worldwide for his viral photographs of the active volcano Eyjafjallajökull while it was erupting.

Unnur Birna (now Unnur Birna Björnsdóttir) is Miss World 2005 and also Miss Iceland 2005. She is Icelandic and incredibly has many careers such as being a lawyer, an actress, a model as well as a former beauty queen. She is also into event hosting as a compere.
She was born on the 25th of May, 1984 and she is also the daughter of former Miss World 1983 finalist and winner of Miss Iceland 1983.

Jón Páll Sigmarsson who died aged 33 years old was the first man to win the World’s Strongest Man title an incredible four times. He was an Icelandic bodybuilder, powerlifter and and strongman with the reputation as being one of the greatest strongmen and weightlifter in history.
He’s credited for putting Iceland on the world map as a sporting power.

Bobby Fischer with real names Robert James Fischer was born in 1943 and died in 2008. He was born an American and a Chess Grandmaster, holding the record of the eleventh World Chess Champion. He is argued to be the greatest chess player of all time.
He later acquired Icelandic citizenship and so he is regarded as an Icelandic famous person too.
