The management of Enugu State University of Technology, ESUT, Enugu, has terminated the employment of 153 lecturers.
At the moment, no official reason has been given for the sack.
Some of the affected lecturers who spoke to newsmen said it was unjustifiable for the university to employ them in a bid to get accreditation from NUC only to sack them 7 months after without pay.
The aggrieved lecturers also stated that they have written to the state Governor bu are yet to get a response from him.
The ESUT Director for Public Affairs, Mr. Ossy Uwoti when contacted, said he would speak as soon as he had consulted his principals on the issue.
