Kudos to the CP Abia State who seems to be
responsively alive to his duties.
The police in Abia State are reported to have stormed Michael Okpara University of Agriculture Umudike and arrested members of the illegal security outfit employed and armed to the teeth by the Vice Chancellor Prof. Hillary Edeoga. More than 14 high calibre guns were discovered in their cache of weapons. Poor parents who paid 60,800.00 naira for the accommodation of their wards more than one year ago at the commencement of the 2014/ 2020 session came to demonstrate OUSTSIDE the university because their children had neither been given accommodation nor have they been refunded their money. So after the peaceful demo and after the parents had long
since dispersed, the illegal security headed by one Ekedo, a renowned cultist, came to the university gate to arrest some
innocent by-standers whose relations petitioned the CP on the illegal arrest. The CP dispatched his squad to the university.
On hearing of this invasion, the illegal security outfit transferred them to SSS Umuahia. But on getting to the university the CP’s squad searched the accommodations of
the cult security of Prof. Edeoga and found many high calibre weapons. One wonders why this fraudulent VC
should circumvent the university official security unit and
flood the whole place with known cultists posing as security.
One expects nothing else than for the police to quickly prosecute these armed cultists in court. But lots of kudos to
the Commissioner of Police for ridding the campus of so much guns and making the place safe again for workers and
the general public.
