Yobe State University Postgraduate Admission Form – 2021/22

Yobe State University, YSU postgraduate programmes admission form for the 2021/2022 academic session is now on sale.

The management of Yobe State University (YSU) invites applications from suitably qualified candidates for admission into its Postgraduate Programmes for the 2021/2022 academic session.

v. M.A. (Ed.) English Language Education (4 semesters);
vi. PhD English Language Education (6 semesters);
vii. PGD Chemistry (2 semesters);
viii. M.Sc. Chemistry (3 semesters);
ix. PhD Chemistry (6 semesters);
x. PGD GIS and Remote Sensing (2 semesters);
xi. M.Sc. GIS and Remote Sensing (4 semesters);
xii. PhD GIS and Remote Sensing (6 semesters);
xiii. M.Sc. Geography (4 semesters);
xiv. PhD Geography (6 semesters);
xv. PGD Management (2 semesters);
xvi. M.Sc. Management (4 semesters);

Yobe State University Postgraduate – Entry Requirements.

a) Postgraduate Diploma (PGD): Candidates must have i. HND obtained at a minimum of Credit level in relevant courses from a recognized polytechnic; or ii. a first degree not lower than Third class division in relevant courses from a recognized University. Registered Nurses (RN) plus post-qualification certificate could be considered for PGD Education and PGD Food Quality and Safety.

b) Master’s degree: Candidate must have i. a first degree obtained at a minimum of second class lower division in relevant courses; or ii. a first degree in other disciplines obtained at a minimum of second class lower division plus Postgraduate Diploma in relevant courses obtained at credit level from a recognized University; or iii. Third class honours degree in relevant courses plus Post Graduate Diploma in relevant courses obtained at credit level; or iv. HND in relevant courses plus PGD in relevant courses obtained at credit level.

c) PhD: Candidates must have i. a Master’s degree in any relevant area of specialization in the course applied for with a minimum CGPA of 4.0 or 60%; or ii. M.Phil. degree in any relevant area of specialization in the course applied for. (Candidates with less than a minimum CGPA of 4.0 or 60% can be considered for M.Phil/PhD.).

Yobe State University Postgraduate Admission – Method of Application.

STEP 1: Make a non-refundable payment of ₦7,500.00 into Account name/Number: YOBE STATE UNIVERSITY/0615352027 at FCMB Damaturu Branch and obtain a scratch card for the application. Sales of scratch cards close on Friday 12th February, 2020.

STEP2: Visit: pgschool.ysu.edu.ng and click on Register at the home page. Provide all the information required and print acknowledgement slip for your personal reference.
